Maternal and child health was central to the creation of Braun Cinkassé Hospital. The center therefore has a gynecology/obstetrics-maternity department headed by a gynecologist-obstetrician and breast specialist. He works with three midwives and three birth attendants, assisted by a nurse. The activity of the Gynecology-Obstetrics department is divided into three sectors:

The maternity and obstetrics department includes:

• An outpatient consultation unit; Gynecological and obstetric emergencies;

• Intensive pregnancy monitoring;

• An air-conditioned labor room equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for optimal monitoring of labor and delivery;

• An air-conditioned delivery room with comfortable, multifunctional delivery tables;

• Postpartum care facilities. 

The gynecology department includes:

• An outpatient consultation unit;

• Gynecological emergencies;

The operating room:

It is specifically dedicated to gynecological and breast surgeries, as well as to cesarean deliveries.
